This sculpture is entirely hand sculpted using the lost wax and ceramic shell method. It is based off of the generic anatomy of a bird - with no particular one in mind. This was my 2nd creature and the jumping off for an entire series. It was cast in a single piece and only required minor welding on the ribcage.
